Ok, the first election I ever remember was when Bill Clinton beat George Bush Sr. I remember we were in the middle of packing so I was sitting on the floor in the living room watching it. I remember being “devastated” but only because my parents were for Bush and I was supposed to be sad. This is also the first incidence where i heard the word “landslide” and I remember picturing in my head mudslides and wondering what in the heck that had to do with the president. HAHAHA!!!

I remember watching a debate between Michael Dukakis and Bush Sr. in 1988 at the Margan’s house in Wisconsin. The television was sitting on the floor and so was I.

    I remember thinking about Dukakis’s caterpillar eyebrows…

I remember doing the mock election at school when I was in first grade at Bakersfield… they let us go in the booths and vote! Imagine if first graders could vote!

Lana, I just wanted to thank you for yesterday’s post. It encouraged me greatly through the day yesterday, and has continued to do so today!

Now, on to the pressing matter at hand…
The Clinton/Bush election would be my first “presidential memory” as well.
